MCR Welfare Officers
Your MCR Welfare officers for 2012/2013 are Anne Miles and Robert Machinek. As well as organising Welfare Tea and other welfare related events throughout the year, we provide a confidential listening service, and can advise on any academic or personal concerns you may have.

Chaplain
Simon Jones is the college Chaplain, and coordinates the various College welfare bodies. He also chairs the Hardship Committee, so please talk to him if you ever find yourself in financial difficulty (Financial assistance). He has experience of providing welfare support to a wide variety of people in different contexts, and is always happy to speak in confidence with any member of College, regardless of religious affiliation. There is no need to make an appointment, and he is available most days (including weekends) during term time.

Welfare Dean
Anna Camilleri is the Welfare Dean. She is a member of the MCR, and liaises between the JCR, MCR and SCR to secure student welfare and give welfare advice. She is available to give advice on serious issues, or simply want a chat. You can also contact her with suggestions or comments about welfare support in College.

Nurse
Catherine Haines is the college Nurse, who also serves as the Women’s Adviser. She holds a general surgery and offers welfare support as well as medical help to all members of college. The general surgery is held on weekdays from 9am-12pm in Grove 1:2 (0th to 9th week – though it’s a good idea to e-mail before hand outside of full term time) and is open to all members of the student body.

In Oxford
OUSU Student Advice Service
The OUSU Student Advice Service is a free and confidential information, advice and advocacy service for students. It employs one permanent member of staff, Lisa Stokes-King, and other members who are recent graduates, or taking a year’s sabbatical from their course. It is located in Thomas Hull House (at the back of Bonn Square), and open weekdays between 10am and 5.30pm. Make an appointment in person, by phone or by e-mail.
