Welfare Team
We also provide a confidential listening service for all graduate students. If you want to contact us you can email or phone using the contact information displayed in the MCR and around college. You can also stop by either of our rooms (if you want to guarantee we’ll be in with freshly brewed tea or coffee you can either call or email first).
We also provide condoms, available from the box in the Computer Room, as well as pregnancy tests and attack alarms, which we can provide if you contact us.
Please feel free to contact us with any problem!
My name is Anne, and I’m one of your two Welfare Officers for this year. I’m originally from California, and when I’m not on the river or hanging out in the MCR, it’s possible that I’m in the Mob Library reading up on International Relations. For those who have been around college before, you might remember me as your Arts & Culture representative or as the Vice Captain of the Merton College Women’s Boat Club. For those of you who are new to Merton, I give you a hearty welcome and look forward to meeting you! Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns – by email, mobile, a chat in my room or catching up at Welfare Tea!

I’m Robert, and Anne and I are responsible for your welfare. You can usually find me at the Merton MCR cocktail events, the welfare teas, on our tennis courts or near the MCBC boathouse. I also spend some time with the Merton Global Directions Group and in the lab, where I’m pursuing a DPhil in biophysics. If you have questions, problems or concerns but can’t find me at any of these places, feel free to get in touch with me via e-mail, phone, facebook or whatever other means of communication you find at your disposal.
