MCR Treasurer – Henry Hope
Hello there!
Thanks for navigating your way through Merton MCR’s web pages, and for taking the time to read a little about me and my ideas for the wonderful place that is the MCR.
My name is Henry, and I am now in my second DPhil year in musicology. As your treasurer, I bear the responsibility not only for drawing up budgets, making sure that the MCR’s finances are in good health and order, and that its members are supplied with up-to-date information on the state of its finance, but also for ensuring that your money is actually spent on the things you enjoy. Like the entire committee team, I want to make sure that you get the most out of your time at Merton.
Newspapers and coffee in the MCR and the music room, crockery and furniture, organising tastings and other social/cultural events, as well as liaising with college about funding the MCR and its members are just some of the aspects which I am addressing on your behalf. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any of your ideas of how to make the MCR an even better place, and how to celebrate its 50th anniversary in style. With your help, I hope to increase the MCR’s value as a place to study, live, and celebrate right now.
